Summary |
One dark December midnight, a poet named Edgar Allan Poe is feeling tired and weak. He is reading old books and missing his love, Lenore. He hears someone knocking the door. When he opens the door, this is no one. He only hears a voice saying, "Lenore." He called out "Lenore?" but no one answered him. He hears the knock again, and this time when he opens the door he sees a raven sit on the hear- of a statue over the door. Poe asked its name, the raven says, "Nevermore." |
